Cast of The Artist are animated as ever as they scoop Hollywood award... but Uggie steals the show

They might star in a silent film but the cast of The Artist aren’t welcoming their new found fame quietly.

The cast were as animated as ever as they were honoured at the RED studios in Hollywood on Tuesday.

The man of the moment Jean Dujardin, who has scooped a Golden Globe and a SAG award in recent weeks, was joined by actress Missi Pyle, James Cromwell and the popular pooch Uggie.

The cast and crew of the silent film were given a Made In Hollywood honour, just one of the many accolades the film has already commanded.

Dujardin and Uggie shared a tender kiss, with the latter provided the actor with a series of friendly licks as the cameras flashed.

The cheeky Jack Russell Terrier has proved a hit with fans of film and he has even been honoured with his own Golden Collar award.

But while his star is shining bright the ten-year-old has retired from film, perhaps ending his career on a huge high.
