While his Gossip Girl character is decidedly polished, Chace Crawford proved he can be a little rougher around the edges than the fictional Nate Archibald.

The actor was seen looking rugged and sexy as he enjoyed a family holiday to Mexico.

The 26-year-old went shirtless to throw a rugby ball around on the beach as he made the most of the sunshine in Cabo San Lucas.

He wore just a pair of low-rise blue shorts with a black belt, a pair of grey trainers and some brown aviator sunglasses for his beach day out.

His off-duty look alone was enough to make him appear less clean-cut than his character on the TV drama.

But Chace enhanced the notion when he was seen sporting what appeared to be a plaster on his lip.

It wasn’t enough to deter the actor from his game of catch, although he was spotted regularly touching his lip to check the plaster was still intact.

Chace was taking a well-earned break from filming the current season of Gossip Girl.

But the star is also making a transition to the big screen and has two movies scheduled for general release this year.

He appears as part of a star-studded cast in the highly-anticipated What To Expect When You’re Expecting, which is due to be released in May of this year.

The hunky actor also stars in Peace, Love & Misunderstanding, alongside Jane Fonda and Elizabeth Olsen.

The comedy drama did the rounds at Toronto, Woodstock, and Rio de Janiero film festivals late last year, ahead of its general release in June.

Cameron Diaz has sparked speculation of a breast enlargement after her latest outing in a tiny bikini.

The Charlie's Angels star, 39, was spotted on the beach in Hawaii over the holidays looking rather shapely, prompting rumours she's gone under the knife.

The actress is said to have had implants to boost her chest by a cup size, according to the National Enquirer.

Plastic surgeon Dr Anthony Youn, who has not treated the star, told the publication: 'I believe she has had a breast augmentation using relatively small silicone implants.'

'Since swelling can take severely weeks to settle down, I suspect she had the surgery at least two to three weeks ago.'

Cameron has previously said she'd prefer a more curvy figure, telling Marie Claire in 2009: 'I'd love to be more voluptuous. It's just not my body type."

The star, who had her nose fixed in 2006 after breaking it four times, said in 2010 that she would rule out more surgery.

As well as her curves, Cameron also unveiled a short new hair cut during the beach holiday with friends.

The star, who has previously dated Justin Timberlake and Alex Rodriguez, has most recently been romantically linked to rapper Diddy,

She will soon return to the big screen in the upcoming flick, What To Expect When You’re Expecting.

She joins an ensemble cast which includes Matthew Morrison, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Chace Crawford and Cheryl Cole.

She plays Jules – an aspiring singer and a host to a weight loss fitness show - in the Kirk Jones directed movie which is expected to hit screen in May.
