Maria Menounos appeared to be enjoying the view during a rehearsal session with a shirtless Derek Hough today.

The Extra TV presenter was spotted shooting admiring glances at the blond hunk as they stepped outside the West Hollywood dance stuido for a breather.

Just a short while later, Maria, 33, was pictured heading out for lunch with fellow Dancing With The Stars contestants Katherine Jenkins - who is rumoured to be more than just friends with Hough.

Despite his close appearance with dance partner Maria, the 26-year-old has been seen cosying up to Welsh opera singer Katherine, 31, on a number of occasions - and a source told the Sunday Mirror that her is 'smitten' with her.

'Derek is single and would like to date Katherine, but she wants to take things slowly as she only recently ended her engagement,' the insider said.

'They are hanging out all the time and are already close friends.'

Maria and Katherine are often spotted out together when the cameras aren’t rolling, with the competitors regularly joining their professional partners Mark Ballas and Derek for nights out.

The ladies were seen stepping out of the dance studio in West Hollywood following a weekend of intense practice and headed straight out to lunch together.

The group hopped into Derek's car before taking off to eat at a nearby restaurant.

Wearing their comfortable exercise clothing, Menounos and Jenkins still managed to look good in loose tops and tight fitting leggings.

While the classical singer kept her hair pulled back in a sleek ponytail, a fresh-faced Maria let her brunette locks hang out.

Sporting supportive flesh coloured socks, due to a foot injury, the television presenter seems to be making a speedy recovery.

After being told that she should avoid putting pressure on the area last week, she was seen almost bursting into tears during a DWTS VT last Monday.

As a result Hough toted her around on his back much of the time.

She described herself as 'beyond broken hearted' after splitting with fiancé Gethin Jones at the end of December.

But judging from new photographs taken earlier this week, it looks like Katherine Jenkins may have found a welcome distraction from her heartbreak.

The 31-year-old Welsh singer was spotted getting very cosy with Dancing With The Stars professional Derek Hough as they partied at LA hot spot The House of Blues on Monday night.

The pair headed out to the Sunset Strip nightclub with a group of dancers and celebrities from the show after they performed on the hit TV programme's rock week.

Katherine is partnered with professional Mark Ballas on the show, while Derek, 26, is teamed with presenter Maria Menounos.

But they only had eyes for each other on Monday, with Derek unable to keep his hands off the Welsh star who was still sporting her black streaky 'rock' hair style.

He regularly kept his arms wrapped around the Welsh singer and didn't appear to pay much attention to the performing band Steel Panther.

Wearing a grey T-shirt, Derek whispered into Katherine's ear and appeared to kiss her on the cheek at one point.

The pair have recently been spotted out together in West Hollywood, with one source telling the Sunday Mirror that Derek is 'smitten' with Katherine.

'Derek is single and would like to date Katherine, but she wants to take things ­slowly as she only ­recently ended her ­engagement,' the insider said. 'They are hanging out all the time and are already close friends.'

They were also seen getting flirting a few weeks ago at Beacher’s Madhouse, a variety show at the Roosevelt Hotel in West Hollywood.

An eyewitness said: 'They were sitting in the sectioned off area near the front. It was really flirty. They had they’re hands around each other and were rubbing each others backs and holding each others hands behind their backs.

'They were with other friends there too, but really they only had eyes for each other. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they were an item, they were all over each other.'

But in an interview last month, Katherine addressed rumours she was romantically involved with Derek, claiming they were just 'good friends.'

Derek would be somewhat of a toyboy for Katherine. However he was also two years younger than Fight for This Love singer Cheryl, 28, who he was also rumoured to have once dated.

She was recently linked to MC Harvey, and non-league footballer said their relationship took place around the same time Cheryl was linked to Hough.
