It looks like William Shatner still believes he is set to stun when it comes to the ladies.

For the Star Trek legend was pictured getting a bit fruity with Extra presenter Maria Menounos before an interview in Hollywood today.

And the cheeky octogenarian even leaned in for a cheeky kiss as he took advantage of the television host's friendly demeanour.

Most people at the age of 81 would be more interested in a sitting down with a cup of tea and a newspaper than dancing with a woman more than half his age.

But the old glint was still in William's eye as he grabbed the 33-year-old and gave her a twirl.

The actor was meant to be promoting Get A Life, a book in which he examines the phenomenon of Trekkies, Trekkers and their numerous conventions.

However that seemed far from his mind as he took the opportunity to run his hands around the toned presenter's body as they shared a few dance steps.

Perhaps the Canadian star has even more in common with his famous character Captain than meets the eye.

The Starfleet officer was noted for his lengthy list of conquests, particularly on the original television series.

Fans even made a video called Kirk is a Womanizer, which splices his numerous dalliances with the Britney Spears song.

But William was not the only star name at the shoot for the popular entertainment show.

GCB star David James Elliot also stopped by for a chat, in which he talked about his work for A Better LA.

He also got handy with the presenter, though her preferred to use her as a dummy to demonstrate martial arts moves.

No doubt she missed William after he got her in a particularly tight choke hold.
