But Sofia Vergara has dared to bare more in a sizzling new shoot for men's magazine Esquire.

The 39-year-old Colombian actress slips her famous voluptuous figure in an array of lacy black basques and sheer silk teddies.

The spotlight is firmly on her sexy lingerie in the shoot, with the TV star wearing either just a pair of hooped earrings or diamond studs as accessories.

Her hair is styled in a sexy tousled bed head style and she wears natural make-up.

In an accompanying interview with the magazine, Vergara advises on what American men should know before approaching a Latina woman in a sexual way.

'I guess at the end of the day, all women like to be appreciated and treated with respect and kindness, she says.

'We all want to have sex in a romantic way. But with a Latina, you're going to have more fun.'

When it comes to her figure, Vergara adds that all Colombians are meant to be voluptuous and embrace their curves.

'Well, in Colombia everybody's very voluptuous and you're supposed to be. You don't want to be skinny when all of your cousins are mermaids. You grow up thinking that's how beauty is,' she says.

She also talks about how her boyfriend Nick Loeb reacts to her fiery temper.

'Nick wonders how I can get really mad and scream, then turn around, do something, come back, and forget that I was mad,' she says.

'The first time it happened, he thought, This woman is insane. One time I was screaming with my sister. Then the next day, I told him I was having lunch with her. He said, "How? You were just fighting with her!"'

Recently Vergara revealed to In Style magazine that she was thinking about freezing her eggs so she can have a child with Loeb as she approaches 40.

The model and actress already has a grown-up son from her first marriage to her childhood sweetheart Joe Gonzalez in the early 90s.

Vergara told In Style magazine: 'I guess I am going to think about freezing my eggs.'
