They have legions of young fans who look up to them, following their every move.

So perhaps wearing rings in the shape of a gun was not the best message for Kendall and Kylie Jenner to be sending out.

The teenage sisters - Kendall, 16, and Kylie, 14, proudly brandished the controversial jewellery yesterday as they posed for photographs at KIIS FM's Wango Tango event in Carson City, California.

Kendall, who looked older than her years in black hot pants and leather jacket, was wearing a black-coloured ring in the shape of a gun, which was designed to fit over two fingers.
She completed her look with mean-looking studded red boots as her younger sister posed alongside, sporting a gold version of the jewellery item.
Shortly after posing for their photographs the pair had a snap taken with British YouTube sensations, nine-year-old Sophia Grace Brownlee and Rosie McClelland, five.

The loveable youngsters hit the headlines last year with their memorable and hilarious interpretation of Nicki Minaj song Super Bass - and have since gone on to become stars in the making with countless TV appearances.
Kendall tweeted the snap with the accompanying message: 'New best friends! Sophia Grace and Rosie.'
Other stars at yesterday's musical event included Dancing With The Stars duo Maria Menounos and Derek Hough.

The pair put on quite the performance as they took to the red carpet.
And the are-they-aren't-they couple weren't content with simply indulging in their own tango as professional dancer Derek then went behind the camera to snap photos of his TV presenter partner.
The pair seem to have their eye on the glitterball trophy more than ever due to their consistent high scores in the competition thus far and as a result appear to be practising their moves at every opportunity.
