It's that time of year when the weather is so interchangeable that we're never sure what to expect when we step out of the house.

And neither did Alesha Dixon, who found herself having to protect her modesty today as she left a TV appearance.

The Britain's Got Talent judge was snapped leaving the London studios in a very pretty outfit which was made up of a black pleated skirt, chiffon black blouse and a yellow vest.

Bright and very breezy! Alesha Dixon left a TV studio today battling the elements as her hair whipped round her face and she kept her hands firmly by her side

She teamed the outfit with a yellow belt and matching Christian Louboutin heels as she flashed her bright smile to the cameras.

But then the elements hit and the pop star was left battling the wind as she held her skirt down by her side in an attempt to stop it lifting up on the breeze.

Alesha was a guest on the Lorraine show this morning in her role as Avon ambassador as she launched a new campaign to help end domestic violence which also marked International Women's Day.

Just in the nick of time: Alesha managed to grab her skirt and hold it by her sides as she got caught in a strong gust of wind

And she made a very quick change upon leaving the studio as she slipped into her black outfit having changed from the short, stonewashed denim dress she wore for the TV chat.

Because she was heading straight to visit the National Domestic Violence Helpline to launch Avon's Pass It On campaign and its Empowerment Bracelet to raise awareness of the global issue.

Speaking on the Lorraine show to hosts Kate Garraway and Dan Lobb, she said: 'I want people to wear and share this fantastic necklace as a symbol of women's empowerment, and infinite possibilities for women.

Hi everyone! Alesa flashed her stunning smile and gave a wave as she left the studios and headed off on her campaign day

'It's an issue that's close to my heart. It's a serious crime. One in four women in the country are being abused and... I want to encourage more women to speak out about it.

'It's such a taboo subject. I think today's a day where we can celebrate women and encourage people to stand up and speak out, and this necklace symbolises that.'

When Alesha says it's a subject that's close to her heart, she really means it because in 2010, she made a documentary called Don't Hit My Mum in which she talked about being a child and watching her mother being assaulted by one of her partners.
