Christie Brinkley, 58, proves she's the eternal Uptown Girl as she outshines women 20 years her junior on the catwalk

Christie Brinkley managed to outshine women two decades younger than her at a catwalk event in New York last night.

The 58-year-old looked red hot as she strutted down the runway at The Heart Truth's Red dress Collection Fashion Show.

The model strutted down the catwalk to the strains of former husband Billy Joel's hit Uptown Girl, with her blonde hair tumbling over her shoulders.

Red hot: The star wore a dramatic Pamella Roland design

The chiffon dress, designed by Pamella Roland, also featured a shawl and thigh high split.

As she emerged from the wings, Christie stumbled a little, but it wasn't enough to detract from her knock-out appearance.

Held to raise awareness of heart health in women, the event also featured Rose McGown, 38, Minka Kelly, 24, and Rebecca Romijn, 39.

Former Charmed star Rose wore a Roberto Cavalli gown and also had a small slip-up on the catwalk.

Actress Minka opte for a more demure knee-length high necked number by which showed off her slim figure.

She also wore her hair in loose brown curls around her shoulders before she changed into a sequinned Diane Von Furstenberg number for the fashion show itself.

The show featured a slew of celebrities taking a turn on the catwalk, with the grand finale featuring an elaborately dressed Chaka Khan leading the curtseys from the stage.

Meanwhile, actress Rebecca sported a more ornate strapless Marchesa gown,with floral detail around the bust and waist.
