But Nicola Roberts resembled a human zebra crossing today.

The 26-year-old experimented with an unusual black and white ensemble, teaming a casual sweater with a silky skirt more suited for a night out.

Nicola opted for a knitted jumper, with zig-zag arms and a picture on the front which appeared to be two dolphins diving away from each other.

The daytime attire was in contrast to her floor-length skirt that flapped around her ankles and looked more suited to a meal at posh eaterie Nobu.

The entrepreneur, who has her own make-up range Dainty Doll, stopped to sign a T-shirt for a fan with the slogan 'Team Ginge'.

However, despite flying the flag for redheads, Nicola's hair was highlighted with more neutral tones to give her a blonde mane.

As well as appearing on daytime television, Roberts has been rather excited today after friend and bandmate Kimberley Walsh joined Twitter.
