And that's exactly what Diana Vickers did as she paraded her slender pins by taking to the stage in Manchester for a small intimate gig at Ruby Lounge.
The former X Factor contestant showcased a tiny waist by tucking in her Creme De La Creme vest top, and added a few extra inches of height with a pair of black ankle boots - despite becoming notorious for performing barefoot on the fifth series of the ITV1 reality show in 2008.

Despite initially losing out to winner Alexandra Burke, Diana has continued to achieve solo success.
The 20-year-old blonde released her debut album Songs From The Cherry Tree in April 2010, which catapulted to the top of the charts to the No1 position.
She has since spent time recording in America in a bid to break the US market and focus on her as-yet-untitled second record which is said to break free from pop and captivate her indie spirit.

Speaking of her rockabilly flair, she said: 'My inspiration came from the 1950s and early 1960s retro style. I love all those old fashioned vintage shapes - lots of quirky prints and bright colours.'
Diana, who will perform tonight at London venue Cargo, is elated she is back on the road.
She said: 'I am so excited for these shows - playing live is what it's always been about for me.
'This new album means so much more to me than anything I've done before, so I just cant wait for my fans to hear the music live. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve... I'm counting down the days.'
