It isn't easy being green - unless you're Lana Del Rey, that is.

The Video Games singer seemed confident despite the putrid pea green colour of her outfit during an evening out in West Hollywood last night.

She showed off her fabulous figure in the unflattering outfit while returning to the Chateau Marmont on Saturday.

Though they fit her in all the right places, the trousers with a satin waistband didn't look as hip as they could have when paired with a matching shirt.

The ensemble's saving grace was a pair of grey Converse all-star trainers.
Her red hair also offset the green hue nicely.

Though she arrived back at the Hollywood hot spot with a group of friends, she still took time to sign autographs and posters for the fans lingering outside.

She recently fired back at reports that she doesn't write her own songs.

The flame-haired singer told KROQ radio: 'I wrote every word on my album. There's only one line I didn't write in Diet Mountain Dew and one in Lolita.

'What people have to say about me, the really amazing things and the really terrible things, none of them is true.

'The Internet right now is creating their own person for themselves to play with, but I've been an artist for a long time and I've been a writer since I was 7. I can't do much else.'

The derogatory reports didn't seem to affect her as she arrived at the Chateau looking happy, however.

Dating Vampire Diaries co-stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev were also seen at the hotel.
