They’re two of Hollywood’s most lusted after men but Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx didn’t seem too eager to impress the ladies yesterday as they stepped out to promote their new film.

Despite arriving suited and booted, the actors looked scruffier than usual at the Summer of Sony Spring Edition party for their upcoming motion picture Django Unchained.

Perhaps their grooming choices had much to do with their noticeably laid back look, as both stars let the fuzz on their face disguise their famously handsome qualities.

Scruffy: Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx were sporting overgrown facial hair yesterday in Cancun, Mexico

The pair sported matching facial hair for the bash held at the upscale Ritz Carlton hotel in Cancun, Mexico, causing them to stand out from the chic crowd, but not in a good way.

It’s possible DiCaprio, 37, and Foxx, 44, were trying to appear more grown up after both began their different career paths decades ago.

The Titanic actor is even more in the spotlight at the moment with the release of the classic film’s 3D version earlier this month and the contrast, perhaps purposely, between his appearance then and now is a stark one.

He was in his early 20s while filming the project and after having gone on to produce throughout his blossoming career, he is likely want to establish an older look.

However Leo's bearded look only served to make him look fuller in the face.

The group were joined by some others stars attached to the flick, which follows Foxx’s freed slave character across the Deep South.

Writer and director Quentin Tarantino posed at a photo call with actress Kerry Washington and Austrian actor Christopher Waltz.

Different look: The two were dressed up but their unshaven faces let them down

The movie stars other big names including Samuel L. Jackson, Sacha Baron Cohen and Kurt Russell.

While it isn’t due to open in cinemas until Christmas Day, DiCaprio has his fingers in many pies in the meantime.

Yesterday it was announced that he is a executive producer in the upcoming Runner Runner starring Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake.
