But Gerard Butler seemed rather taken with an unknown cheerleader instead.

The P.S. I Love You actor attended a basketball game between Oklahoma City Thunder and the LA Lakers at Staples Center yesterday - but appeared more taken with the eye candy than the match.

Watching from the sidelines, Gerard couldn't mask his grin as the brunette paraded in front of him.

Dressed in her uniform, the pretty girl left little to the imagination in her purple and white hotpants, detailed with a gold waistband, complete with a midriff-baring cropped top.

Gerard was enjoying a break from his busy schedule, with several films soon-to-be released.

The 42-year-old takes part in ensemble comedy Movie 43 - alongside the likes of Emma Stone, Halle Berry and Kristen Bell - as well as taking centre stage in surfing biopic Of Men And Mavericks and drama Playing The Field, with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Uma Thurman and Jessica Biel.

Gerard was just one famous face in the crowd, with J.J. Abrams, Steven Spielberg, Entourage star Jerry Ferrera and Ashton also watching the Lakers win 114-106 yesterday.
The Scottish actor was also seen sharing a joke with Alana Stewart, 66.
It was clear to see the resemblance of the former model, who married Rod Stewart in 1979 before their split five years later, and her daughter Kimberly.
