And Kylie Minogue was clearly in the mood to experiment on Sunday as she stepped out for lunch in an attention-grabbing pink dress with a winking face printed on the front.

Adding a pair of towering black stilettos and dark sunglasses, the 44-year-old looked like she was in a good spirits as she strutted through the streets of New York.

Looking like she was in the mood for a little fun, the Australian pop star wore a hint of a smile on her face as she breezed out into the daylight wearing the Moschino Cheap and Chic dress, which costs just £277.

Even though she's been dressed by some of the world's most high end designers during her career, the Spinning Around singer proved that not everything she wears has to come with a hefty price tag.

Having clearly put quite some thought into her daytime look, the star matched the black detailing on the dress to the patent shoes.

She wore her light brown hair loose and straight and kept her jewellery minimal, adding a delicate pair of hoop earrings.

Kylie also managed to match her make-up to her pale pink dress, wearing a dusting of peach powder and light lipstick.

The night before, the superstar had also decided on an eye-catching outfit as she headed to the launch of the new Dolce & Gabbana store on Fifth Avenue.

Obviously not wanting to be overlooked, she wore a green and white striped tulip dress and a pair of ethnic-inspired earrings.

Copying the look from the designer's spring/summer 2013 collection, the pint-sized star was clearly keen on trying out another avant-garde look.

Kylie had been honoured with a courage award at a benefit gala for women's cancer on Thursday in Beverly Hills, jetting straight to New York a day later.

Speaking to Rolling Stone the Australian star said: 'It's so weighty that my initial response was I didn't know if I [deserve] this, because frankly you don't tend to think of yourself as being courageous when there are countless people who are more courageous each and every day than I'll ever be in my life.
