Estranged couple Heidi Klum and Seal spent Valentine's Day thousands of miles apart - she remained in LA as he jetted out to Sydney.

But while he was spotted minus his wedding band - Heidi was seen with hers still firmly in place as she headed for dinner at BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood.

In the wake of announcing their marriage split, both continued to wear their rings.

Seal made a bold statement earlier this week, however, when he ventured out for the first time without it.

It was almost as if Seal was trying to draw attention to the fact his hand was bare as he was sporting bright yellow nail polish.

Shortly after news of the couple’s split was announced Seal appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ chat show and explained why he was keeping his ring on.

He said: ‘It's a token of how I feel about this woman. It feels really comfortable on my hand.’

While Seal has been busying with a huge number of public appearances in recent weeks owing to his new album Heidi has maintained a low profile.

The Supermodel made her first appearance in public just last week at the amfAR gala in New York.

Not only was the 38-year-old seen wearing her wedding ring but the tattoo of her husband’s name could be seen on her inner right forearm.

Heidi and Seal revealed they were splitting last month, but neither of them have filed for divorce yet.
