He’s one of the biggest Hollywood stars in the world, but Jack Nicholson struggled to measure up to legendary basketball star Shaquille O’Neal on Tuesday.
The veteran actor was there to watch the Los Angeles Lakers play Dallas Mavericks and support the former player as he celebrated the retirement of his famous no. 34 jersey.
Nicholson embraced the towering baller during the half-time ceremony at the Staples Center, who responded by giving the actor a friendly kiss on his head.

During his speech, Shaquille mentioned the A Few Good Men star, and his classic line from the military drama.
'Jack's been sitting in that same seat for years, telling the referees, "You can't handle the truth!"' O'Neal told the crowd to rapturous applause.
The Batman star has held court side seats at the Lakers for around three decades and has become their unofficial mascot.
Despite having the seats for so long Jack clearly still revels in his exclusive spot - especially when the cheerleaders are on court.
The 75-year-old made sure to get some of the much, much, younger ladies laughing as he prepared to join Shaq on centre court.

Shaquille was presented with a framed jersey carrying his name and number, by former Lakers coach Phil Jackson and Executive Vice President of Business Operations Jeannie Buss.
His no. 34 purple-and-gold jersey now hangs next to those of legendary Lakers players past, including Jamaal Wilkes, Gail Goodrich, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jerry West, and Earvin 'Magic' Johnson Jr.
Also in attendance was the larger than life player's stepfather Sgt. Phillip Harrison, who taught his son everything he needed to know to become one of the greatest players of all time.
The former LA player said, 'You took me and my mum in when I was two years old. You taught me how to play the game You had a vision that I was going to be big.'
