Millie Mackintosh leads the stars suffering wardrobe malfunctions as the wind takes over on the TV Baftas red carpet

She would have been hoping for a grand entrance as she headed to the Arqiva British Academy Television Awards (Baftas) on Sunday night.

But while it may have not been the grandest of red carpet arrivals at London's Royal Festival Hall, Millie Mackintosh certainly made her mark.

The Made In Chelsea star was just one of the stars who succumbed to the windy London weather as her black gown with large side split accidentally almost revealed a bit too much.

Wardrobe malfunction: The Made In Chelsea star laughed as she struggled with the frock as she attempted to contain her modesty

As the 23-year-old reality TV star posed for photographs obviously feeling confident in the get-up as she pouted up a storm.

But the gusts of wind soon left her red-faced as she was forced to stop the Sass and Bide gown flying up to reveal her under garments.

Although she took it in good jest as she laughed and ensured she held the dress down in front of the many stunned snappers.

Giggles: She at least saw the funny side as she walked along the red carpet struggling in her outfit thanks to the weather

She teamed her daring dress with a pair of Christian Louboutin high-heeled sandals and carried a Swarovski clutch.

The make-up artist, who is engaged to marry rapper Professor Green, had spent hours on Sunday getting ready for the appearance.

She shared numerous photos with her online fans on Twitter and Instagram as she sat in the make-up chair.

But she was clearly nervous as she prepared to step out of the car and in front of the paparazzi.

Not the look she was going for! Sir Bruce Forsyth's wife Wilnelia was also left red-faced, or actually had her face compeltely covered, as her dress also proved unsuitable for the windy weather

Finding it funny: After the dress hit Wilnelia in the face Bruce decided to lark around wit the fabric to his own amusement

She complained: 'Loving my hair and make up, can't believe it's raining! Here I go... Eeeeek #baftas2013.'

And fast forward a little while and Millie took to Twitter again to comment on the embarrassing scenario: 'Wind and rain + a dress with slits = wardrobe malfunction!'

But she was soon left smiling once more as Made In Chelsea picked up the gong for Reality and Constructed Factual show.

And she couldn't wait to show off a picture of herself carrying the infamous face design, writing: 'What a night!'

Although she can be rest assured she wasn't the only star who struggled to look elegant as they arrived on the red carpet with the weather causing havoc.

Holly Willoughby also held her dress down as she walked along in the striking red frock with the bottom blowing behind her feet.

And Millie should at least be pleased that she didn't have such a bad photo moment as Sir Bruce Forsyth's wife Wilnelia.

She had arrived alongside her Strictly Come Dancing host husband in an eye-catching canary yellow gown.

But it wasn't just the colour of the outfit that caused attention as at one point the flowing material blew up and hit her in the face - much to the amusement of Bruce, who then proceeded to joke around with the garment.
